Our dining rooms are now closed in compliance with City Health Mandate. We are still open for pick-up and delivery.

In recognition of the extraordinary efforts that medical workers are making to bravely provide care for our communities, KazuNori, along with our sister companies HiHo Cheeseburger and UOVO, joined together this past April to Feed the Front Line.
Between April and June, we've collectively provided over 2,000 meals to nurses, doctors, and other ICU and ER health workers on the frontlines battling the pandemic at our local hospitals.

Our "Feed the Front Line" initiative is made possible by the joint owners of Sushi Nozawa Group, HiHo Cheeseburger, UOVO, and their friends & families.
We are happy to announce that all SUGARFISH and KazuNori dining rooms in the Los Angeles area will reopen tomorrow — Tuesday, June 9. Nozawa Bar is planning to reopen on Tuesday, June 16th.
We would like to express our profound gratitude for your unwavering support. Because of your loyalty, we’ve been able to not only continue serving our communities, but we’ve also been able to provide continued employment to 100% of our people. On behalf of the entire Sushi Nozawa team, we thank you.
The dining experience will be different than what it was in early March. Some changes we have made are noticeable - like fewer seats in our dining room and the face-shields, masks, and gloves that our staff will be wearing - while others - like our stringent and thorough disinfection practices - may not be as visible. (For more information about the new safety measures we’ve implemented at our restaurants, please click here for SUGARFISH and here for KazuNori.) The one thing, however, that will remain unchanged is our commitment to serving traditional, Nozawa-style sushi, just as we always have.
We will, of course, continue to offer to-go and delivery service. For SUGARFISH click here, for KazuNori click here.
Once again, we have been humbled by your support of our restaurants - and our people - over the past months, and we are more excited than ever to welcome you back into our dining rooms.
The State of California and Los Angeles County have recently announced restaurants are allowed to reopen. We are working on our dining room re-opening plans based on these new guidelines.
In the meantime, we will continue offering to-go and delivery options through Postmates and SUGARFISH Mobile apps. Please stay tuned for details on our dining-in reopening announcements.
We remain grateful for your support of our restaurants and our people over the past months, and we eagerly anticipate welcoming you back into our Los Angeles restaurants soon.
Sushi Nozawa Group's KazuNori: The Original Hand Roll Bar has joined sister companies HiHo Cheesburger and UOVO to provide meals for local ICU and ER medical workers.
If all we've done over the years is try to make our sushi business sustainable, then it's got to be sustainable for everybody." — Sushi Nozawa Group, UOVO and HiHo Cheeseburger Co-founder Jerry Greenberg

Implemented additional social-distancing protocols for pick-up and delivery. Please see new measures here.
Based on directions from our government, SUGARFISH and KazuNori are now open only for pickup and delivery.
The virus is obviously impacting all of us in ways we probably could not have imagined before. Life is different and will be so for an uncertain period of time. As a small part of our food supply, our team is proud to be able to provide our sushi to our guests.
On a different note, the impact on restaurant employees is particularly acute. Many, if not the vast majority, of restaurant employees are going to be without jobs by the end of the week.
We want something different for our people — and because of your support over the years — we are in a position to attempt something different. We intend to keep 100% of our 600+ people – both salaried and hourly – even though the core of our business of dining-in is closed. Our plan starts with a four-week commitment: while hours will be trimmed in many cases, everyone will have a meaningfully paying job unless the government orders us to shut down completely.
Part of our plan is to create valuable work for our people. To that end, we are reopening our phones to take orders for pickup and delivery, and whenever possible, having our people do the delivery in addition to our regular Postmates delivery. We also have in place curbside pickup for when our guests arrive at our restaurants. To view our safety measures we take with To-Go and for ordering information, click here.
We look forward to serving you in the coming days and weeks, and more importantly, serving you when things are back to normal, hopefully with all of our team that you know and love intact.
Please know that we always appreciate your support for us at Sushi Nozawa. Thank you.
With gratitude,
Sushi Nozawa Team
Like our New York locations, we have implemented a new dining room seating policy to create more space between diners. Starting today, we are keeping a table/seat open between guests and asking our guests to keep distance if they are in line.
In an email last Friday, we shared information about changes we made in response to COVID-19. We want to update you on additional steps we are taking .
We have created a dedicated COVID-19 response team, and in the past seven days, we have implemented the following steps:
For the safety of everyone in our restaurants, we are also putting a process in place to ask guests to leave the restaurant if they repeatedly cough or sneeze. We know when this happens some guests will not forgive us, but we believe it is what we must do. Of course, if any of our people repeatedly cough or sneeze they will be immediately sent home (and will be paid as described above).
We have been adding new processes each day, and expect to add more in the coming days.
Unfortunately, we do expect at some point that one of our people will test positive for COVID-19. We are doing our best to avoid that issue, but also have plans in place for if / when that occurs. We have created a set of COVID-19 specific procedures including an emergency shutdown procedure in the event a restaurant needs to close for a period of time.
Finally, please take the recommendations from the CDC and other governmental agencies seriously. The better we all control the spread of the virus, the sooner we will see things get back to normal.
Thank you again for your support.
At Sushi Nozawa Group, we are deeply committed to the health and safety of SUGARFISH, KazuNori, and Nozawa Bar patrons and staff, and we are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as it unfolds. In addition to our continued adherence to county health and governmental protocols, we are also taking additional proactive preventative measures in all of our restaurants to keep our community as healthy as possible, including:
We encourage you to follow the standard precautions outlined by the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And while we realize that cravings for our sushi can be strong, we ask that if you aren’t feeling well to please stay home.
Appreciating the unknown and changing nature of these conditions, we will continue to evaluate the situation as it evolves and to follow the advice and directions of local officials. We will, of course, keep you up to date with any changes.
Thank you,
Sushi Nozawa Group
