Jerry Greenberg

Jerry and Nozawa-san conceived of the idea for SUGARFISH in 2005, building on an idea Nozawa had for a new kind of sushi experience. Jerry was intrigued by the concept, but it wasn’t until 2007, after Jerry left his full-time position at Sapient, that he and Nozawa began to focus in earnest on what we know today as SUGARFISH.

Their friendship began in the late 1990’s, when Jerry began eating at the bar at Sushi Nozawa as often as he could. He and Nozawa soon discovered that they share interests in many things, but that they are both particularly passionate about cooking… and eating.

Prior to SUGARFISH, Jerry was co-founder and co-CEO of Sapient (NASDAQ:SAPE). Founded in 1990, Sapient currently has revenues in excess of $1 billion and over 10,000 employees across the globe.  Jerry remains active with Sapient in his role on the board of directors.

Jerry also is co-founder of a new technology company called samesurf, which is a new way for people to experience the internet together.

Jerry graduated in 1987 from Harvard University.
